1. To formulate proposals and decisions
for the proper running of the Sports Meet. 2. To work as a committee, and also in sub-committees, to ensure the implementation of the proposals. 3. To alert and sensitize the public and the student body about activities for Sports Day 2004 using both the print and electronic media. 4. To formulate a budget for the Sports Meet. |
2. PROTOCOL |

1. To draft, compile and distribute requests,
invitations and thank-you letters for all aspects of the Sports Meet. 2. To prepare the programme for the opening ceremony. 3. To select judges for the March Past. 4. To formulate the criteria for judging the March Past. 5. To select ushers from among the student body for the Sports Day. 6. To ensure that all invited guests are ushered to and from their seats before and after the opening ceremony. 7. To compile and present to the Catering Committee, a list of the officials and guests for whom snacks and lunch will be provided. |

the total number of persons to be catered for. 2. To ensure that all guests and officials are provided with a snack and lunch on Heats and Sports Day. 3. To ensure that there is an adequate number of relay cakes. 4. To formulate a budget for the catering services and relay cakes. |
4.FUND- RAISING |

5.PLAYING FIELD |

1. To ensure that the playing fields are
prepared for Heats and Sports Days and that they are cleaned up after these events. 2. To ensure that all the necessary equipment (e.g. Shot Putt, Discus, tape) are available for Sports Day, and that they are returned afterwards. 3. To select and confirm officials for Sports Day (e.g. starters, track judges, time keepers). 4. To seek to obtain at least two tents for Heats and Sports Days. |
6. STATISTICS |

1. To keep up-to-date records of the points standings
for each house and for individual athletes. 2. To compile the Heats? and Finals? list of athletes for each event. 3. To secure each of the results sheets sent from the Chief Track and Field Judges. 4. To declare the individual champions in each division, the Victor and Victrix Ludorum and the Winning House for the Sports Day. |

8.BROAD- CASTING |

public address system in place for Heats and Sport Days. 2. To ensure that these systems are up and working about one hour before the scheduled start of the events. 3. To give vital information to the athletes and spectators, especially as it relates to the upcoming events and the names of athletes for each event. 4. To work in close collaboration with the Steering and other committees. |
